RFM has developed a manual for the management, control and disposal of non-asbestos replacements. With the potential of RCF's, Mineral Wool and Fibrous Glass becoming regulated soon, it may be timely to have a stance or policy on this issue. OSHA recently endorsed a voluntary PEL of 1.0 Fiber/cc for fibrousglass. The Refactory Ceramic Fiber Coalition (RCFC) and the American Conference of Government Industrial Hygenists both recommend a PEL of 0.1 Fibers/cc for RCF's, (the same PEL as asbestos). How is your facility managing other Fibers?
